Global Citizen Forum- A initiative by Spice Group, appeals for ‘Youth Empowerment’!

A conference on the theme of Empowering Youth – Men and Women, was held today at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  The topic of discussion was the immigration law regarding regulation of passage between Shenzhen & Hong Kong. The conference was jointlyorganized by Global Citizen Forum (GCF) and BYD Overseas Group and was attended by leading global personalities including business leaders, social thinkers, academicians, artists and spiritual leaders.

Commenting on the partnership with Global Citizen Forum, Ms Stella, Senior Vice President, BYD Group, said, “ We are happy to partner with the Forum for a global cause aimed at empowering the youth and creating a harmonious and interconnected world without boundaries, We look forward to a meaningful partnership towards building a better world through encouragement and empowerment. “

Prominent speakers at the conference included Dr Bhupendra Kumar Modi, futurepreneur and Chairman of Spice Global, Ms Stella, Senior Vice President, BYD Group, Isha Judd, spiritual leader, Ravi Kumar, social thinker, Ms. Rekha Mody, social worker and William Pfeiffer among others. The speakers expressed their desire and opinion for a free passage between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, based on best international practices prevalent in other parts of the world like Singapore and Malaysia. Such facilitation of free passage has resulted in greater symbiotic growth and cultural understanding, leading to better relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The speakers shared that given the fact that Shenzhen and Hong Kong are the crucial growth epicentres of China, therefore free two way entry system will open new vistas of empowerment for youth providing greater opportunities of employment, cultural exchanges and other aspects of personal development.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhupendra Kumar Modi, Founder Chairman , Global Citizen Forum said, “a  Youth are the future of the world and we should focus on constant encouragement and empowerment of youth. GCF aims to engage with opinion makers and administrators in their respective countries to promote  greater participation of youth in the development process of the world through best possible means. I feel that a two way entry system between Hongkong and Shenzhen on the lines of Singapore and Malaysia to increase trade and cultural ties between the two areas shall give the youth an empowerment opportunity by the opening of employment and personal development prospects. “

Post the deliberations, a resolution requesting suitable amendments in the law was adopted by the GCF.  The conference was followed by a cultural evening where Isha Judd, another musical band and Nehha Bhatnagar, Indian classical dancer performed.
