Google has always tried to take on Skype, the company which is pioneer in VoIP calling. Last year when Google bought Gizmo5, it made its intention clear to expand its services like Google Voice, Gmail Voice Chat & Google Talk. And recently when Skype slashed rates of International Wireline & Wireless Calls we had little idea, what lies ahead in VoIP market.

Yesterday Google bought Global IP Solutions, a Norwegian internet telephony company, for $68.2m. This move is also likely to embark more competition with traditional as well as Skype’s telephony services.
